From time to time Sea Hag will feature a new and interesting local or regional artist or crafts person. We will have work from the artist featured here on display in our Gallery. If you come on out you will be able to experience their talents and wares and admire and marvel at their work, occasionally enjoy their sense of humor, and possibly even purchase a special item of theirs that you can proudly display in your home or office.
Note that the items appearing on our Featured Artist page are all unique and representative of the artist's work. The specific items shown may not currently be available in the Gallery and we may have other items that are not featured here.
We recommend that if at all possible you come in to appreciate in person the work of our Featured Artist and all the other artists who's work is featured in the Sea Hag Gallery. However, if you are interested in any of the items you see here and are unable to get out to see them first hand, give us a call and we can provide you with details on availability and pricing or recommend alternative works.
You can find a list of our previous featured artists and links to their pages in the sidebar to the left of every artist page.
If you are an artist and are interested in displaying your work in our gallery, please visit our Gallery page for details.

My artwork has always been a Visual response to place. My surroundings dictate both the subject and appearance of the work. When I was working out of the Delevan Center, on the near West Side of Syracuse. New York, I found elements such as worn bricks and pigeons diving from rooftops entered the paintings. Since moving out to the hills of Pompey NY, I have found my subjects in the gardens and landscapes that surround me. Forays into the Adirondack Mountains of New York State and the Shores of Cape Cod in Massachusetts have further influenced the scope and appearance of my work.
An interest in the extraordinary found within ordinary settings and subjects has been a constant for me. The changes in a creek or sky that reflect the steady advance of seasons as a physical manifestation of time ... the movement of a black dog through an opening in a hedgerow. The way unremarkable members of a simple garden reveal truly important aspects of life. My paintings are the result of sitting and looking, quietly but intensely, at a subject. When this is done, surroundings reveal themselves and humble elements take on greater brilliance.
